FiltaBac Case Study - Appaloosa cross mare
| Dec 19, 2016

The pony was presented to the veterinary surgeon with sunburn of the pink skin around the nose and lips (Image 1).
On day 1 a moderate amount of FiltaBac was applied to the affected areas (Image 2). A further layer was applied over the dried cream on day 2 (Image 3). Filtabac was applied 2 days in a row before the area was washed and FiltaBac reapplied. By day 3 (image4) and day 5 marked improvement could be seen (Image 5). By day 7 the redness and peeling skin had gone, new skin could be seen with tiny new hairs (Image 6). FiltaBac was continued to protect the new skin.
